The Structural Engineers Association of Southern California has released the following information on the recent Earthquake in American Canyon just north of Oakland, CA.
New Police Station opens in Tehachapi
SSG worked with the Justice Department of AECOM to bring the City of Tehachapi a new Police Station that fit their growing community. The Department had quickly grown out of their old home, and the search for a new one was on. An expansion and complete Seismic Rehabilitation was undertaken on an old Partially Grouted CMU building in the heart of town. The result was a facility that the community can be proud of thanks to great staff input, and a thoughtful design team.

New 1.3 Million Square foot Warehouse Facility in Olivebranch, Mississippi Opens
SSG as Structural Engineer of Record worked with the Design Build Team to get this half-mile long facility up and running in a compressed time schedule of approximately 8 months from design beginning to move in. The building was constructed of Concrete Tilt-up walls with Steel Beams and Trusses overlaid by Steel Roof Decking. Olivebranch, MS is located approximately 30 minutes from Memphis, TN, a major shipping hub.

The Caroline Shea Center on the Campus of Taylor Middle School in Millbrae, CA. We were proud to attend as the Structural Engineer’s of Record for the project. It was a touching night of remembrance and celebration for a person whom fought so hard for the buildings that were being opened.

Kelsey’s position is to represent the Tri-Counties Structural Engineering community (San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara & Ventura). She will be regularly organizing the Tri-Counties dinner meetings, so stop in to say hello when you attend.
